Homework
Lecturers will suggest problems chosen from the textbook. Students are strongly recommended to work on these problems. A subset of the suggested problems are given below.

Attendance
Students are expected to come to class regularly and on time. They should be prepared to discuss the textbook material and to have worked on the suggested problems.

Exams
There will be one 6-question-midterm exam, and an 8-question-final exam. All exams will be closed book/closed notes. Calculators are not allowed.
Students whose midterm grade is below 8 or laboratory grade is below 10 cannot take the final exam!

Laboratory
Two laboratory sessions every week. There will be a laboratory exam. See Laboratory Pages for more information.

Grading
The weights that will determine the cumulative grade are as follows:
                                                      Contribution Exam Date
                    Midterm 30% July 20th, 2011 at 17:30
                    Lab 20% TBD
                    Final 50% TBD
The final grades will be determined according to the distribution of cumulative grades.

Makeup Rules
There will be no make-up exam (both for midterm and final) during the summer term, due to time constraints. Thus, we strongly recommend you to be present for the exam, unless it is absolutely impossible.
